Painting Mirror Terms of Use

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using Painting Mirror, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the app. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of Painting Mirror after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

License Grant

Nice Software grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Painting Mirror forstudio observation and critique support, subject to these terms. This license does not permit you to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Modify or create derivative works of Painting Mirror
• Use NotaTime for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to circumvent or disable any security features
• Resell or redistribute Painting Mirror

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Painting Mirror lawfully and responsibly. You are responsible for:

• Using the app lawfully and responsibly in your studio workflow
• Complying with local laws related to camera use and captured content
• Not using the app for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful purposes
• Protecting your device and Apple Account credentials
• Reviewing captures or exports before sharing with teachers, students, or clients

Painting Mirror is a studio observation tool and may be subject to legal or institutional rules on captured content in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for compliant use.

Your Data & Responsibility

You retain full ownership of your data and exports. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining backups of important captures you choose to keep
• Managing Photo Library and device permissions according to your privacy preferences
• Managing your Apple Account security for purchase restore and platform services
• Ensuring exported captures are handled appropriately for your use case

Nice Software is not responsible for loss of data due to device loss, iCloud account issues, or user error. We recommend regularly exporting your data and keeping backups.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Painting Mirror is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nice Software disclaims:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties that the app will meet your specific requirements
• Warranties regarding uninterrupted camera processing, mode behavior, or rendering outcomes

Your use of Painting Mirror is at your own risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow disclaimers of implied warranties, so this disclaimer may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nice Software is not liable for:

• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of captures, interrupted studio sessions, or incomplete observation records
• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any damages arising from your use of Painting Mirror
• App crashes, camera permission failures, or Apple service interruptions

This limitation applies even if Nice Software has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Service Availability

Painting Mirror works primarily on your device. Core functionality does not depend on internet connectivity. However:

• Camera access requires device-level camera permission
• Capture saves depend on Photo Library permission and Apple platform availability
• Purchase restore depends on App Store and Apple Account services
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of features dependent on Apple services

Nice Software may discontinue features, modify the app, or cease updates at any time without liability.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nice Software, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of Painting Mirror
• Data you input or export from the app
• Your violation of these terms or applicable laws
• Your infringement of third-party rights

Third-Party Services & Links

Painting Mirror may link to or depend on third-party services, including Apple services. These services are governed by their own terms of service. Nice Software is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or your use of them. Your interactions with third-party services are subject to their terms and privacy policies.

Intellectual Property

Painting Mirror, including its design, code, and functionality, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nice Software retains all rights not expressly granted to you. Your license is limited to personal use of the app as provided.

Termination

Your license to use Painting Mirror is effective until terminated. You may terminate it by deleting the app from your device. We may terminate your license if:

• You violate these terms
• You use the app for unlawful purposes
• We discontinue Painting Mirror or services you depend on

Upon termination, your license ceases, and you must stop using the app. Nice Software is not liable for data loss upon termination.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Norway.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
