Introduction

NotaTime is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information. By using NotaTime, you acknowledge this policy.

Information We Collect

NotaTime is designed to work primarily on your device. We collect only the information necessary to provide time tracking functionality:

• Time Entries: Start times, end times, duration, and notes you add to each time-tracking session.
• Daily Totals: Calculated time summaries for each day.
• Device Information: Basic information about your device to enable app functionality (device type, OS version).
• iCloud Data (Optional): If you enable iCloud sync, your time entries and notes are synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit.

How We Use Your Data

Your time tracking data is used exclusively to provide NotaTime services:

• Store and display your time entries on your device
• Calculate daily time totals
• Enable Home Screen widget functionality
• Generate PDF and CSV exports for your records
• Sync data across your devices via iCloud (if enabled)
• Provide notifications and reminders you enable

We do not use your data for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose beyond providing the NotaTime service.

Data Storage & iCloud Sync

Local Storage: All time entries are stored locally on your device by default.

iCloud Sync (Optional): When you enable iCloud sync, your time entries are encrypted and stored in your personal CloudKit account. Apple manages iCloud infrastructure; Nice Software does not have access to your synced data. iCloud sync is protected by your Apple ID credentials. Disabling iCloud sync will not delete data already synced; you can manage this through your iCloud settings or by deleting the app data.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising or third-party tracking.
• We do not collect analytics about your time entries.
• We do not use location data.
• We do not create a user profile or account on our servers.

Your Rights & Data Control

Access: Your time entries are stored on your device and fully accessible to you.

Deletion: You can delete individual time entries or all app data at any time through the app or by removing the app from your device.

Export: You can export your time entries as PDF or CSV files at any time.

Data Portability: Exported data is yours to use as needed.

Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's security features. iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a strong device password.

Third-Party Services

NotaTime uses the following Apple services:

• CloudKit: For optional iCloud sync. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Home Screen Widgets: Provided by Apple. No data shared beyond your device.
• Push Notifications: Handled by Apple's notification service for reminders you enable.

NotaTime does not integrate with analytics services, crash reporting services, or advertising networks.

Children's Privacy

NotaTime is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of NotaTime constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
