Artwork Camera Privacy Policy

Introduction

Artwork Camera is built around a local artwork archive. The live camera view is processed on your device, and Nice Software does not upload your artwork photos or archive records to its own servers.

Information We Collect

Artwork Camera does not require a Nice Software account for core use. The app keeps capture and archive data on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

• Artwork photos, titles, artists, mediums, years, inventory numbers, statuses, collections, and tags are stored on your device.
• The live camera view is processed locally for edge detection, leveling, glare warnings, auto-capture, and perspective correction.
• Sign in with Apple is optional and is not required to use the core camera workflow.
• Photos access is requested only when you choose to export a finished capture to your Photo Library.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only inside the artwork capture and archive features you choose to use:

• Detect artwork edges and help keep the phone parallel to the work
• Correct perspective and save a cleaner artwork photograph
• Store artwork information and search the private archive on your device
• Create PNG, JPEG, PDF, or animated GIF exports you explicitly request

We do not use your artwork, archive, or studio activity for advertising, profiling, or behavior tracking.

Data Storage & iCloud Sync

On-Device Processing: Camera processing and artwork archive records remain on your device by default. The live camera feed is not sent to Nice Software servers.

Exports: When you export a file, you choose where to save or share it. Photos access is only used for the export action you initiate.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not upload or remotely store your live camera feed or artwork photos.
• We do not sell, rent, or broker your artwork metadata or personal data.
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs for the artwork archive.
• We do not create a behavior profile based on your studio sessions.
• We do not require account sign-up for core capture and archive use.

Your Rights & Data Control

Access: Your artwork records and captures remain accessible through the app and your device storage.

Deletion: You can delete archive records, captures, exports, or app data from your device at any time.

Export: You can export the artwork records and files you choose to keep or share.

Data Portability: Your captures and exports remain under your control.

Security

Your content primarily depends on the security of your device and any destination you choose when exporting. We recommend current OS updates and a strong device passcode.

Third-Party Services

Artwork Camera relies on Apple platform services for distribution, optional sign-in, camera access, and exports:

• App Store infrastructure managed by Apple.
• Device camera and media frameworks provided by Apple operating systems.
• Photo Library access only when you grant permission and initiate an export.

Artwork Camera does not include third-party advertising networks or behavior analytics in the artwork archive workflow.

Children's Privacy

Artwork Camera is not directed to children under 13. The app does not require a user account for core use.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or product changes. The updated policy date will appear at the top of this page.
