Introduction

NotaTime is built so your tracked hours, notes, rates, and exports stay under your control. We do not want a copy of that information, we do not collect it on our servers, and it is none of our business what you do with your time.

Information We Collect

NotaTime does not collect the work logs you create in the app. The app is designed to work primarily on your device, with optional iCloud sync through your own Apple account.

• Time entries, notes, project names, and client rates are stored locally on your device by default.
• We do not require an account, email address, or login to use NotaTime.
• If you enable iCloud sync, your data syncs through your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure, not through a Nice Software account.
• We do not maintain our own server copy of your tracked time data.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only inside the app features you choose to use:

• Store and display your time entries on your device
• Calculate totals and billable amounts for your own records
• Generate exports such as PDF, CSV, or JSON for your workflow
• Sync data across your devices via iCloud if you choose to enable it
• Provide reminders or notifications you explicitly enable

We do not use your time data for marketing, analytics, surveillance, or any purpose beyond the NotaTime features you asked the app to perform.

Data Storage & iCloud Sync

Local Storage: All time entries are stored locally on your device by default.

iCloud Sync (Optional): When you enable iCloud sync, your time entries are encrypted and stored in your personal CloudKit account. Apple manages that infrastructure. Nice Software does not get access to a private dashboard of your tracked time, projects, or rates.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising or third-party tracking.
• We do not collect analytics about what you track, how long you work, or who you bill.
• We do not use location data.
• We do not create a user profile or account on our servers.

Your Rights & Data Control

Access: Your time entries are stored on your device and fully accessible to you.

Deletion: You can delete individual time entries or all app data at any time through the app or by removing the app from your device.

Export: You can export your time entries as PDF, CSV, or JSON files at any time.

Data Portability: Exported data is yours to use as needed.

Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's security features. iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a strong device password.

Third-Party Services

NotaTime uses the following Apple services:

• CloudKit for optional iCloud sync, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Home Screen widgets provided by Apple, with no data shared beyond your device unless you enable iCloud sync.
• Apple notification services for reminders you enable.

NotaTime does not integrate with analytics services, advertising networks, or third-party tracking systems.

Children's Privacy

NotaTime is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and the app does not require a user account with us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
